We've made it to Port Douglas without incident. It was a long trip -- 14 hours, 1150 kilometers --but we made it in one piece, physically and emotionally. The latter was sketchy for the last stretch though.
Tomorrow we're off to the Outer Great Barrier Reef -- then up to Cape Tribulation the day after.
Unfortunately, we are unable to post pics. We seem to be having uploading issues. Any suggestions there, Scott?

Are they just timing out when uploading? I probably have lots of suggestions, but I don't know what the specific problem is.
You might try uploading photos to flickr or something like it and upload them.
We're glad to hear that you are all surviving. I know 3 week vacations to Australia can be awfully hard. :)
the blogging of the trip is awesome. it makes me feel like I'm not missing out on all the great times. In other news, Mom used "LOL" in her last post. That's awesome. Mom's a techie.
